I hope Bangor City FC will make attempts to identify those mindless morons who invaded the pitch and marred the great achievement of the club against Llanelli. They should be banned from attending games. It put a dampner on the event. Well done Bangor City, but please make every attempt to get rid of these idiots.

If ever there is a Bio Fuel plant built on Ynys Mon, then they needn't go to the trouble of importing wood for it - as we seem to be well served with our own

As the TA proudly celebrates this month a 100 years of loyal service to Queen and country I remember with pride my time with the TA. I joined in Holyhead in 1939 and served with 6th Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers D Company until 1946, I did my initial training in Northern Ireland before serving in Egypt, Palestine and North Africa. I am very proud to have been a member of Holyheads Own. Its HQ was in the Drill Hall at the top of Kings Road and the Commanding Officer was Major Williams of Trearddur Bay assisted by Captain Morgan Jones. I am very proud to have been a member of this special team. I believe that myself, Harold Jones also of Holyhead and Ted Griffiths formerly of Holyhead now living in Ballinahinch, Northern Ireland, maybe the only remaining members of D Company who served at this time but if I am wrong I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me.

Your headline last week- MUSEUM SAFE- may ell have misled some of your readers who did not read the full text of this story. In fact Bangor Museum is very far from safe- it will now remain open for another twelve months, but if no extra funding can be found during that time, it is very likely that it will have to close. This would be a very serious blow for the cultural life of Bangor, and one can only hope that the University and the Council can be persuaded to avert such a tragedy.

i think its a disgrace and aviolation to a life long beaumaris resident to have to pay to drive round the greeen and enjoy the fine views . in my opinion local residents should be allowed to enter that land free of charge and not be restricted by a barrier i would appreciate if you would consider printing this comment as local people like myself feel the same

With the vast amount of HGV vehicles that exit Holyhead port each evening, wouldn't it be a good idea to switch of the traffic lights at night that are situated outside the Boston pub and the ones on the bridge, as the amount of congestion in the port is ridiculous. Switching these lights off for maybe 30 mins at night would make a vast difference on exiting the port in future.

The last time I was in Bangor(it was about 6 yrs ago!) even then noticed the change from yrs back. As for the cyclist, the police DO stop and prosicute them!!

How long will it take before an accident takes place after turning left by Bangor Station with the new stupid lights forcing people to fight to change lanes.

Can anybody out there tell me what is going on in Bangor lately? It seems that, no matter which way you drive into the city nowadays, you are likely to be met with traffic lights which magically spring up overnight; roadworks that seem to take forever to complete, and massive traffic jams. This morning, having braved the congestion, I was then further delayed by vehicles parked on double yellow lines; by pedestrians walking in the road to avoid cars parked on the pavements, and even by a cyclist riding the wrong way up a one-way street towards me. I am absolutely appalled at the state of Bangor at the moment, and would quite gladly avoid driving into the city centre completely if I had the choice. Whoever is in charge of this organised chaos should hang their heads, as more and more people now prefer to head down the A55 to shop and spend their money in Llandudno or Chester because it is a much less stressful experience!

Elaine Jones from Bangor 14:34:05 09 January 2008
Can something be done to highlight that most cyclists in the Bangor area are on the road at night without any lights or reflective clothing. this is a common occurrence and when you enquire with htem you get a mouthful of abuse and I'm only trying to save them from injury or even death.
